Welcome to St. Leonard's Admissions page.
We know that choosing a school for your child is a very important decision. Thank you for your interest in your family becoming part of the St. Leonard's community. We are hugely proud of our school and would love to show you all that makes it special. Please have a look at our website and twitter feedback. We would be delighted to welcome you into school so parents are highly encouraged to make an appointment to visit the school before making a decision to send their child to St Leonard’s. Please contact our school office staff who will be able to help with questions, queries and visits.
Children enter school, in Reception Class, (which we call Blackbirds) in the September of the school year in which they are five.
Parents should apply on-line in the autumn term before the child is due to start school.
A Diocesan Supplementary Information form should be completed by parents who wish their application to be considered against the faith criteria (as outlined in the full policy) which is required for all Church of England Voluntary Aided schools. This form is available to view and download on this page. The supplementary form should be returned to school.
By the following April, parents will be informed as to whether or not they have been successful in their request for a place.
Parents with children who have moved from another school will be able to have a place at St Leonard’s if there are spare places in the required age groups.
If there is not an available place, the headteacher, Mrs Lindley, will explain the appeals procedure.
Full details of the admission arrangements for September 2022 and the Diocesan Supplementary Information Form can be viewed and downloaded below,.
