Parents are encouraged to make an appointment to visit the school before making a decision to send their child to St Leonard’s.

Parents should apply on-line in the autumn term before the child is due to start school.

A Diocesan Supplementary Information form should be completed by parents who wish their application to be considered against the faith criteria (as outlined in the full policy) which is required for all Church of England Voluntary Aided schools. This form is available to view and download below. The supplementary form should be returned to school.

By the following April, parents will be informed as to whether or not they have been successful in their request for a place.

Children enter school, in Reception Class, in the September of the school year in which they are five.

Parents with children who have moved from another school will be able to have a place at St Leonard’s if there are spare places in the required age groups.

If there is not an available place, the headteacher, Mrs Pym, will explain the appeals procedure.

Applications for admission to the school for September 2019 should be made online at (search for School Admissions) between September 2018 and 15th January 2019.  It is not normally possible to change the order of your preferences for schools after the closing date.
