The purpose of the Online Safety Ambassadors is to Online Safety is to help keep the children at St Leonard's safe online by promoting positive online behaviour and raising awareness of online risks. The Online Safety Ambassadors demonstrate our school values of love and value for all, aspire, flourish and shine, learn, remember and do and to share faith and hope by encouraging us to think of how we behave online at school and out in the wider world.

Our Online Safety Ambassadors are proactive and excited to start making a positive impact towards our behaviour online. They will be introducing the school to our new online safety policy with Be Web-Safe, displaying posters in each class and promoting our four key messages, safe, appropriate, friendly and educated (SAFE). They have already created ideas for our display board, making it more interactive and how to create a safer space for children to come forward with any online concerns.
This month the Online Safety Ambassadors are reminding our children in school about SAFE and will then be testing to see how much information they have retained with a quick quiz at the end of the month. They have been speaking with class teachers to make sure their desktop background is our whole school Be-Web safe background and are looking into how they will ensure all chromebooks have these.
This month the Online Safety Ambassadors are talking to children and demonstrating how to remain safe online when researching, donating and promoting Remembrance Day. They have also been creating cyberbullying awareness posters and holding their own pupil voice about children feeling safe online.
This week the children have chosen 5 top tips for keeping safe online when researching and promoting Remembrance day.
