Our Local & Global Community Links!

St Leonard's are proud to support our local and global neighbours throughout the year. Through the Zuri Project we have wonderful connections with a primary school in Khiembe, Uganda - Kishinju CofE Primary School. Children learn about each other's cultures and build relationships, widening outlooks and seeing the world through each other's eyes. 

April 2024  -   The 5K Kishunju Fun Run!

Our Kishinju fun run was 5 kilometres in total - approximately as far as some of the children from Kishinju school have to walk in the mornings.

Thanks to generous contributions from our parents towards this fundraiser, we raised a very impressive £735 which will not only build a classroom from brick, but will also help to fund some furniture for the children at Kishinju school too!

Kishunju classroom building is complete!

A huge thank you to everyone who donated in support of building a new classroom for Kishunju Primary School. The amount we raised was enough for them to build 2 large classrooms and one small room which they now use for interventions.

Here are the children at Kishunju Primary School, Uganda singing 'Walking in the light if God' at the end of their morning school worship.

The older children have performed their traditional dance for you to try at home.
